Super keen to give this idea a try and thought I’d share it with you. Check out the original post over at the ‘Small Fry Blog‘ for the original post and the ‘recipe’. Enjoy, I’m sure my little monkey is going to!
All things Jelly… or Jello…
8 MayHere’s my confession… nooooo, I don’t have some juicy story to share with you to explain my absence from my blog, but what I can tell you is that I love jelly (or as my husband has just informed me – what they refer to as jello over the seas)… red jelly to be exact, covered in custard when ever possible!
I saw this recipe for Jello Biscuits, from I Heart Nap Time and was about to share on Facebook, but thought I’d do a blog post of Jelly instead 🙂
I’ve got my monkey’s 2nd birthday party coming up (more of that to come obviously) and think I’m definitely going to try making some of these for the party… My mom always used to make a layered jelly ‘cake’ for my birthday parties, so I reckon having something made of jelly will be a good continuation of mini tradition! Recipe over at Our Best Bites
And how about these Jello Shots from JSTK – so much of pretty!
And then I had to share this idea from Party Frosting with you – the picture isn’t great, but just love the idea… not sure I’ve seen blue jelly in South Africa, but as I said, I’m a red jelly girl so don’t bother looking at the other colours! Anyway – for anyone having a boat or nautical party for their little ones….
Anyone in SA know where I could get letter moulds to try this out? (From Plenty of Colour)
Over and out, off to raid my daughters bowl of Jelly that’s in the fridge… no body tell anyone..

Cake pops!
29 AugYou know how much this girl likes a bit of colour right… what I might not have told you is how much this girl can also get stuck into anything sweet… you can imagine my delight when I came across these pictures from Creative-Cakepops on rainbow cake pops! Even better, is that they are made locally – well, in South Africa, and I can get them delivered to my door. (I have to confess, and we my sister, tried making this this weekend, and well…. let’s just say being able to get them delivered from the professionals is perhaps a good option!)
P.S Creative Cakepops are running a competition via their Facebook page where you can win some of their lovely cake pops!
Here are some more cake pops that I quite fancy from around the world.. (and now I’ve got that song pop goes the world on my brain)
I love this colour combination from Hostess with the Mostess
Also think these little globe cake pops from Paper and Cake are too sweet!
Imagine receiving a bunch of these flowers 🙂

Jewellery for Kids
26 AugI have to be honest, I’m not a massive fan of jewellery on kids. My thinking is that they’ve got a lifetime ahead of them to glam themselves up and the longer we can put off jewellery, make up, fashion etc the better.
Saying that… I have blogged previously on candy jewellery, and now I can’t resist posting these gorgeous pics.. cute huh!
How sweet is this necklace made from crochet beads and unfinished wooden beads in between – Available from Etsy
And then another tutorial from Make and Takes for ‘how to make a gumball necklace’, for Mom and Baby! Love them.
Macarons
21 JulI was watching Master Chef Australia last night (yes, South Africa is a little behind on the series!) but the contestants had to make a macaron tower – YUM… Needless to say… I dreamt about flippen Macarons the whole, seriously, the WHOLE night! I was even selling them at our local farmers market! Couldn’t resist blogging on them this morning… Considering the colours they come in, I actually can’t believe it’s taken me so long to blog about them!
